Andean Offering Ceremony
Overview
The Payment to the Earth is a frequent activity in the Andes due to its cosmogonic and human importance. The ceremony consists of different activities subject to a protocol where the Chaman must connect with the greatest ancestral knowledge and wisdom to approach Pacha Mama (Mother Earth) and the Apus (sacred mountain spirits) and thus transmit the energy to the four cardinal points.
In these difficult times we live in, the Payment to the Earth is a bridge for transmitting our prayers and petitions for everything we need for our well-being, health, work, abundance, and prosperity toward the divine light. At the same time, the Despacho Ceremony is a sacred Andean ritual that consists of creating a symbolic bundle of offerings to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus (spirits of the mountains), seeking blessings, protection, and balance.
Through prayers, songs, and invocations, the ceremony honors the interconnection of nature. Ayni, the principle of reciprocity, is fundamental to the ritual, since offerings ensure a balanced exchange of energy. After the ceremony, the Despacho is buried, burned, or left in a sacred place to return the energy to the universe and restore harmony.

It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
